What to pack for Ketambe jungle trekking
Jungle trekking with Safar and our team includes at least one porter / camp assistant (except for day trips) who will carry all your food, cooking utensils and camping equipment. There's no specialised camp kitchen gear here and their packs often weigh 30kg or more! Having a porter means you can trek with only your day pack of personal items, camera and water, leaving you free to navigate the dense jungle and track orangutans with ease. It's also important to the local economy that income from tourism is shared throughout the village.
With this in mind, what do you actually need to bring for jungle trekking?
